What Can Cause a Motorcycle Passenger to Fall From a Moving Bike?
Motorcycle passengers rely on balance, proper seating position, and coordination with the rider to remain secure during travel. Sudden movements, shifts in weight, road hazards, unexpected turns, or loss of grip can sometimes lead to a passenger falling from a motorcycle, even when no other vehicles are involved.
Passengers are encouraged to follow the rider’s movements and maintain a firm hold while keeping both feet on the designated footrests. Proper communication between the rider and passenger can also help reduce the risk of unexpected movements during a trip.
Protective equipment, including helmets and other safety gear, may help lessen the severity of injuries when a fall occurs. While not every motorcycle incident involves a collision, falls from moving motorcycles can still result in significant injuries that require emergency medical treatment.
