Santa Clara, UT (July 18, 2026) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a collision involving a marked patrol vehicle on Thursday afternoon, July 16, in Santa Clara. Emergency units responded to the scene around 1:02 p.m. after the crash occurred near the Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety building.
According to officials, an on-duty officer was backing the patrol vehicle into a parking stall when the collision happened. The motorcyclist suffered injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment. The rider’s current condition has not been released. The officer was not injured.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash, with public safety department personnel cooperating throughout the process.
