Elkhart, IN (June 20, 2026) – A collision between a motorcycle and a car left the motorcyclist seriously injured on County Rd 6 near Johnson Street in Elkhart on Friday afternoon, June 19.
The collision happened shortly after 2 p.m. Investigators said a car traveling west attempted to turn into a business parking lot and crossed into the path of an eastbound motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the car during the turn.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for treatment of what officials described as serious bodily injuries. The rider’s current condition has not been released. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Additional details about the people involved have not been made available.
