What Can Affect the Severity of a Motorcycle and Car Crash?
Motorcycle crashes can result in serious injuries because riders have less physical protection than people inside passenger vehicles. The force of an impact can affect the rider’s head, chest, arms, or legs. Roadway conditions, vehicle speed, visibility, and the direction of impact can also influence the outcome.
At an intersection, vehicles may approach from different directions or make turning movements that bring them into the same path. Investigators may examine vehicle damage, roadway markings, traffic signals, and available witness accounts when reconstructing a collision. Medical evaluations can provide additional information about the injuries caused by the crash.
