Quincy, WA (August 10, 2026) – According to the Washington State Patrol, two people were killed on Saturday afternoon, August 8, after a wrong-way driver crashed head-on into another vehicle on Interstate 90 in Quincy.
Authorities said 24-year-old Brayan Reyes Alvarez was traveling east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 when he collided head-on with another car. Two passengers in Reyes Alvarez’s vehicle were killed in the crash. One victim was identified as Yesenia Acosta-Delgado, while the second was a 23-year-old woman from Tacoma whose name had not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Reyes Alvarez was injured and transported to Quincy Medical Center for treatment. The elderly driver and passenger in the other vehicle were treated at the scene. Officials said alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash and that Reyes Alvarez was impaired. He is facing a vehicular homicide charge. The crash remains under investigation.
