Deputies and fire crews responded to reports of a rider down, and firefighters requested a medical helicopter based on the caller’s description of the injuries, according to initial reports. The location, near a jurisdictional boundary, prompted state troopers to also respond.
The helicopter landed at the scene to transport the injured rider, who was described as a trauma patient. No further details about the extent of the injuries or the cause of the wreck were released.
