Big Bear Lake, CA (July 15, 2026) – A motorcycle rider was hurt in a traffic collision involving a Lexus on Big Bear Boulevard (State Route 18) on Sunday afternoon in Big Bear Lake.
According to CHP dispatch information, the two vehicles became involved in the collision around 5:17 p.m. near 38126 Big Bear Blvd. Both the motorcycle and the Lexus were left disabled after the crash. Initial reports also indicated the motorcycle was leaking fuel across the roadway, creating a hazard and preventing other vehicles from passing through the area.
Emergency units were called to assist, and both lanes were temporarily blocked while crews worked to manage the fuel spill and arrange for towing. Additional traffic assistance was requested, and at least one tow truck was dispatched to remove the damaged motorcycle.
The extent of the rider’s injuries has not been released, and no identities were available at the time of publication.
The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
