Jones County, IA (June 23, 2026) – A 68-year-old motorcyclist was hurt after a crash on County Road D61 southeast of Cascade on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly after 2 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling eastbound entered the shoulder of the road and lost control, according to the Iowa State Patrol. The rider, identified as Chester Lee Sutton of Maquoketa, was ejected and came to rest in the south ditch along with the motorcycle.
Sutton was taken to MercyOne Hospital for treatment. No further details about the extent of his injuries were released.
The investigation into the wreck is continuing as officials review the circumstances that led to the crash.
