San Diego, CA (August 5, 2026) – A motorcyclist was hurt on August 4 after a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a red Chevrolet Equinox on I-805 near Market Street in San Diego.
According to dispatch information, the motorcycle and the SUV came to rest on the left shoulder of the southbound I-805 just north of Market Street. Emergency units arrived shortly after the collision was reported and worked to assist those involved while traffic was affected in the area.
A tow truck was requested to remove the damaged motorcycle from the freeway. One lane remained blocked while crews cleared the roadway. The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries has not been released.
The cause of the collision remains under review, and additional details may be released as more information becomes available.
