Anaheim, CA (August 13, 2026) – A motorcycle and a white BMW were involved in a crash on Tuesday evening on eastbound SR 91 near Weir Canyon. The motorcycle went down between the traffic lanes, while the BMW was reported on the right shoulder.

The wreck occurred in the main travel lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol CAD record. The motorcycle rider was near the eastbound side of Weir Canyon when emergency units were requested for a scrape.

The rider initially declined medical assistance but later had medical units requested for the reported scrape. A tow was also requested for the motorcycle, and the vehicles were moved toward a nearby center divider.

No names or ages were included in the initial report. The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under review as the investigation continues.

Our thoughts are with the rider as they recover from the reported injury.

What Injuries Can Occur in Motorcycle Wrecks?

Motorcycle riders have less physical protection than people inside passenger vehicles. Even a low-speed fall can cause scrapes, bruising, cuts, or injuries to the arms and legs. More serious crashes can also result in broken bones or head injuries.

Protective equipment can reduce the severity of some injuries. Helmets help protect the head, while jackets, gloves, pants, and riding boots can provide added protection against road contact. The type of gear and how well it fits can affect its protective value.

Medical checks may be useful after a motorcycle wreck because some injuries are not obvious immediately. Pain, swelling, dizziness, or reduced movement can become more noticeable later. The severity of an injury can depend on speed, road conditions, vehicle contact, and whether the rider was wearing protective equipment.

1Seek treatment promptly after being injured in an accident. Your first priority should always be your health. Many providers offer treatment on a lien basis, meaning you can get the care you need now and pay later when your claim is resolved.
2Before speaking with an insurance company, make sure you have the facts. An official police report is the most reliable record of what happened and can help establish liability An experienced attorney can assist you in obtaining this report and using it to protect your interests.
3Consider having your case reviewed by a qualified attorney who can guide you through the next steps. They will safeguard your rights and pursue the compensation you deserve.
