What Factors Are Often Reviewed in Motorcycle and Trailer-Related Crashes?
Crashes involving motorcycles and vehicles towing trailers can present unique challenges during an investigation. Investigators often review vehicle movements, right-of-way decisions, and visibility conditions leading up to the collision.
Trailers can increase a vehicle’s overall length and may affect how other motorists judge distance and timing. In motorcycle crashes, investigators frequently examine speed, roadway layout, and the point of impact to better understand how the collision occurred. Physical evidence such as vehicle damage, debris patterns, and witness statements can help reconstruct the sequence of events. These details are used to determine the factors that contributed to the crash and provide a clearer understanding of what happened.
