Birmingham, AL (August 14, 2026) – A 35-year-old motorcyclist died on Tuesday, August 11, after a collision involving another vehicle at Crestwood Boulevard and Frederick Street.
The rider was identified as Nigel Jamar Ramsey. He was taken to UAB Hospital following the crash and died a short time later. Authorities continue investigating the collision.

Why Can Motorcycle Crashes Lead to Fatal Injuries?
Motorcyclists have little physical protection compared with people inside enclosed vehicles. During an impact, a rider may be thrown from the bike or come into direct contact with a vehicle, pavement, or other nearby objects.
