Oak Brook, IL (July 18, 2026) – A motorcyclist lost their life in a collision involving a pickup truck on Friday morning on the northbound I-294 near 31st St in Oak Brook, Illinois. The accident was reported at approximately 7:07 a.m.
One person involved in the collision was taken to a nearby hospital, where the person later died. The crash involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck, but no identities or additional information about those involved were immediately released.
The ramp from northbound I-294 to westbound I-88 remained closed for an extended period while the roadway was cleared, causing significant traffic delays. The circumstances surrounding the wreck continue to be examined, and more information may be released as the investigation progresses.
