Grand Rapids, MI (September 6, 2026) – A 47-year-old man from Grand Haven died on Saturday afternoon, September 5, after losing control of a motorcycle on eastbound I-96 near Plainfield Ave. in Grand Rapids. The man struck the median cable barriers at about 1:10 p.m.
The motorcycle operator suffered fatal injuries and died as a result of the collision. Emergency units arrived following the wreck, while the circumstances leading up to the loss of control remain under review.
The investigation into what caused the motorcycle to leave its path is continuing.
