Middletown, CT (August 29, 2026) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after a motorcycle and car collided at Washington St and Veteran’s Way. The accident occurred around 4:36 p.m. Thursday, August 27.
Police said a 2022 Hyundai Venue was traveling north on Veteran’s Way while a Yamaha motorcycle was heading east on Washington St. The vehicles collided as the Hyundai crossed Washington St.
The Yamaha rider suffered head, pelvis, and leg injuries. He was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he remained in serious but stable condition.
The Hyundai driver was taken to Middlesex Hospital with minor injuries. The names of both drivers were not released.
The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under investigation. We hope both drivers continue toward recovery.
