Yuba Co., CA (August 29, 2026) – A fatal head-on crash was reported late Thursday night, August 27, on Forty Mile Road near JSO Dairy in Yuba County. The collision was reported at approximately 11:24 p.m.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch records, the crash involved a black van and a gray Honda Civic. The collision blocked the entire roadway.
Early reports indicated that people involved in the crash may have been trapped inside the vehicles, prompting a possible extrication response. Fire crews and the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene.
CHP later classified the incident as a fatality. Two evidence tows were requested, and authorities arranged to block Forty Mile Road so an air ambulance could land. The collision remains under review.
