How Left-Turn Motorcycle Crashes Are Examined
Crashes involving motorcycles and turning vehicles are reviewed by examining traffic flow, vehicle positions, visibility, and the actions of everyone involved prior to impact. Physical evidence, roadway markings, and any available surveillance footage may help establish the sequence of events.
Investigators may also examine vehicle damage and the final resting locations of the motorcycle and SUV to better understand the collision. Medical information can provide additional context about the severity of the crash, while roadway conditions and traffic patterns help complete the overall picture.
