What Is Typically Reviewed After a Vehicle and Motorcycle Collision?
Collisions involving motorcycles require a detailed review because riders have less physical protection than occupants of passenger vehicles. Investigators usually examine vehicle positions, roadway markings, tire marks, and damage patterns to determine how the roadway encounter unfolded.
Other factors may include traffic conditions, visibility, speed, and witness accounts. Evidence collected from the motorcycle, the other vehicle, and the roadway can help establish a timeline of the movements before contact occurred. These findings provide a clearer picture of the circumstances surrounding the collision.
