Colorado Springs, CO (June 23, 2026) – One person was killed, and two minors were injured following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Barnes Road and Peterson Road in Colorado Springs on Monday morning, June 22.
Emergency units responded to the intersection at approximately 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival, responders found one person outside the vehicles involved. The victim received medical aid at the scene before being transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigation indicates a vehicle traveling eastbound on Barnes Road collided with a northbound vehicle on Peterson Road. The impact caused the northbound vehicle to roll over and eject its driver. Two minors who were at the scene were taken to a hospital by private vehicle.
Officials reported they sustained minor injuries and received treatment, while the driver of the eastbound vehicle was not injured. No arrests have been reported in connection with the collision.
