Why Intersections Often See Serious Traffic Accidents
Busy intersections can become dangerous when drivers are turning, stopping suddenly, or attempting to cross multiple lanes of traffic. Roads with steady traffic flow may leave little time for drivers to react when another vehicle slows or changes direction unexpectedly.
After a serious roadway accident, investigators often review traffic patterns, vehicle positions, and any nearby surveillance footage. Skid marks, debris placement, and roadway design can also help explain how the collision occurred. In some cases, weather and visibility are reviewed to determine whether outside factors contributed to the damage.
Medical evaluations may continue for hours after a person is taken from the roadway. Early injury reports sometimes change as doctors complete further examinations and treatment.
