Portland, OR (August 12, 2026) – Five people were injured on Monday evening, August 10, following a multi-car collision near Northeast Lombard Street and Northeast 22nd Avenue. The crash occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m.
Responders arrived and assisted several patients. As many as five people were taken to hospitals for treatment, and all were expected to survive. The cause of the collision remains under review.

Why Can Multi-Car Crashes Send Several People to the Hospital?
A collision involving several vehicles can create multiple points of contact within only a few seconds. One impact may push a car into another lane or vehicle before nearby drivers have enough time to react.
