California Twp., MI (August 12, 2026) – One person was hospitalized on Monday, August 10, after a two-vehicle collision near South Fremont Road and Southern Road, about 14 miles southeast of Coldwater. The crash occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m.
A 2010 Dodge Journey entered the intersection after a mechanical problem prevented the driver from stopping at the stop sign. The vehicle then collided with a northbound Toyota Tacoma.
The Tacoma left the roadway and rolled onto its roof. A passenger inside was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No one inside the Dodge was hurt. Authorities continue reviewing the accident to check the mechanical problem and the full sequence of events.
