Sparks, NV (July 23, 2026) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning on westbound Interstate 80 near Prater Way in Sparks. Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 8:30 a.m. on July 22.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision involved multiple vehicles, including a pickup truck towing a utility trailer that overturned during the crash. The incident blocked several westbound travel lanes as first responders worked to assist those involved and clear the roadway.
Authorities said one person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. No additional information regarding the injured individual has been released.
Investigators determined that an unsafe lane change caused the collision. The roadway reopened to traffic at approximately 10 a.m. after emergency crews completed their response.
