What Happens After a Multi-Vehicle Crash with Entrapment?
When a crash involves entrapment, emergency units typically prioritize getting people out of damaged vehicles before treating injuries. This frequently requires specialized equipment and coordination between medical and fire personnel. Crashes with multiple vehicles tend to produce a wider range of injuries, which is why several medical units may respond at once.
Children involved in crashes are always evaluated carefully, even when they appear unharmed, since some injuries are not immediately visible. In the hours and days following a serious multi-vehicle crash, investigators typically examine the road, the vehicles, and witness accounts to piece together what happened.
