We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim and wish a full recovery to the injured.
Left-turn collisions are a common cause of motorcycle crashes
Crashes involving left-turning vehicles and motorcycles are among the most common and dangerous types of roadway incidents. These collisions often occur when a driver misjudges the speed or distance of an oncoming motorcycle.
Motorcycles are smaller and can be harder to see, especially at intersections. When a vehicle turns across their path, riders may have little time to react or avoid the collision.
Wearing protective gear, such as helmets, can significantly reduce the severity of injuries, but motorcyclists remain vulnerable due to limited protection compared to other vehicles.
