What Factors Contribute to Fatal Hit-and-Run Crashes Involving Pedestrians?
Hit-and-run crashes often involve high speeds and reduced visibility, especially during overnight hours. These conditions can make it difficult for drivers to react in time to avoid pedestrians.
When drivers flee the scene, it can delay emergency response and medical care, which may worsen outcomes for victims.
Staying at the scene and contacting emergency services immediately is critical in any crash involving injuries.
