Serious Injuries After Multi-Vehicle Interstate Crashes
Multi-vehicle interstate crashes can cause severe injuries because traffic often moves at higher speeds. When two or more vehicles collide, the force of impact may affect drivers and passengers in different ways. Vehicle size, speed, and point of impact can all change the outcome.
Critical injuries may involve head trauma, chest injuries, broken bones, or internal harm. A person’s condition can change after hospital treatment, especially once doctors complete exams and provide emergency care.
Interstate crashes can also create long closures because crews need room to help injured people and clear damaged vehicles. Debris, blocked lanes, and low-light conditions can add risk for other drivers approaching the scene.
