San Clemente, CA (August 30, 2026) – Several vehicles were involved in a collision late Friday night on northbound Interstate 5 near Avenida Presidio in San Clemente. The collision was reported around 11:49 p.m. on August 28.
Initial reports indicated a vehicle veered left in front of another vehicle, spun out, and then collided with a vehicle on the right shoulder. Additional reports identified a dark sedan, a Tesla, an SUV, a white Dodge, and a white pickup among the vehicles involved.
At least four vehicles were reported damaged, with airbags deployed in one vehicle. Tow truck services were requested as crews worked to clear the roadway, and portions of the highway were temporarily blocked. Two vehicles were later reported to be towed from the scene.
