Honolulu, HI (August 3, 2026) – Nine people, including six children, were hospitalized after a serious two-vehicle crash on the H-2 Freeway before the Ka Uka Boulevard exit in Honolulu. The collision happened shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, and blocked three northbound lanes of the freeway.
EMS and Fire arrived at the scene after reports of a crash involving a pickup truck and another vehicle. Two teenagers who were riding in the truck bed were thrown from the vehicle during the incident. A 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy suffered serious injuries, while the other injured victims included children ages 3, 7, 12, and 16, along with three adults.
All nine people were taken to hospitals for treatment, with conditions ranging from stable to serious. Officials are looking into the incident, and additional information may be released as the review continues.
