North Port, FL (January 20, 2026) – A traffic accident that left several individuals injured was reported late Monday morning at the intersection of Tamiami Trl and S Salford Blvd. Crews from North Port Fire Rescue Station 82 responded promptly to the scene.
The incident occurred around 12:02 p.m. along a heavily traveled section of US-41. Upon arrival, emergency personnel assessed those involved and provided treatment for a range of injuries. At least one victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The collision caused temporary delays along both directions of Tamiami Trl as first responders worked to assist victims and remove vehicles from the roadway. Traffic was restored after the scene was cleared and the area deemed safe.
The cause of the accident is under active investigation. Authorities have not yet shared what led to the crash or whether any citations have been issued.
