Omaha, NE (January 14, 2026) – The Omaha Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run collision that left a woman injured late on Friday night in the Aksarben neighborhood.
The crash occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of 56th St and Center St. According to officials, a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line and struck a 2013 Nissan Sentra traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Nissan, a 34-year-old woman, sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her current condition has not been released.
The driver of the Camaro fled the scene before officers arrived. Omaha Police are actively investigating and continue to search for the suspect vehicle.
