Rogersville, MO (September 1, 2026) – A 25-year-old Ozark woman died early on Sunday after being struck while partially outside a car on Hwy U in Christian County.
The accident happened around 4 a.m. at Spring Hill Rd, just south of Rogersville. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 28-year-old Springfield woman was driving west when the car struck a mailbox.
The 25-year-old passenger was partially outside the vehicle when she was hit. She was pronounced dead at the site.
The driver was not injured. The woman who died was not wearing a seat belt, according to the initial report.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being reviewed. Our deepest condolences go to the woman’s family and loved ones.
