Phoenix, AZ (May 31, 2026) – A motorcyclist lost their life following a collision early on Saturday morning on northbound Interstate 17 near Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. The roadway incident occurred at about 3:04 a.m. and involved a motorcycle and at least one other vehicle.
Preliminary information indicates the motorcycle struck another vehicle, ejecting the rider onto the roadway. Emergency units took the person to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
The identities of those involved in the wreck had not been publicly identified. Multiple lanes were temporarily closed after the accident, and traffic delays continued for several hours before all lanes reopened.
