Why Failure-to-Yield Motorcycle Cases Can Be So Serious
Motorcyclists can be difficult for drivers to see, especially at night or near busy park exits. A driver entering or leaving a road may misjudge a rider’s speed or distance. Even a brief delay in yielding can lead to severe harm.
Intersections and driveways frequently create added risk. Drivers may focus on larger vehicles and overlook a motorcycle moving through the lane. Good lighting, slower turns, and full stops can help reduce danger.
Suspected impairment can raise more safety concerns. Alcohol or drugs may affect reaction time, judgment, and awareness of nearby traffic. For riders, there is little protection when another vehicle enters their path.
