Raleigh, NC (July 1, 2026) – A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle on Monday afternoon in the 3200 block of Atlantic Avenue near Bramer Drive in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the fatal collision occurred just before 5 p.m. on June 29. Investigators said the man had just exited a bus and was attempting to cross the roadway when he was hit by a passing vehicle. He died as a result of his injuries.
Police said the driver remained at the roadway and cooperated with the investigation. No charges had been filed as of the latest update. Atlantic Avenue remained closed for several hours while emergency units worked in the roadway before traffic resumed later that night.
