Brevard Co., FL (July 28, 2026) — A 58-year-old Rockledge man died after being struck by an SUV on Murrell Road near Irongate Drive on Sunday, July 26.
The collision occurred around 9:40 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers reported that a southbound 2015 GMC Acadia struck the pedestrian in the roadway.
The man was transported to Viera Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 46-year-old Melbourne man driving the SUV was not injured and remained at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
