St. Johns Co., FL (July 17, 2026) – One person died after being struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County on Thursday morning, July 16.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal collision happened on the southbound side of I-95 near mile marker 304. The crash was first reported at approximately 10:11 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol’s traffic incident map.
The incident prompted the closure of two southbound lanes for several hours while emergency crews responded and worked to clear the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
