How Early Morning Driving Conditions Can Increase Roadway Risks
Driving before sunrise can create added hazards for people on the road. Lower visibility, fatigue, and reduced reaction time are often linked to serious roadway problems during early morning hours. Weekend traffic may also include drivers returning from late-night activities, which can increase the chance of unsafe behavior behind the wheel.
Speed can make sudden maneuvers harder to control, especially at intersections where drivers must quickly judge distance and timing. Alcohol or drug use may further reduce awareness and slow decision-making. Larger vehicles, including trucks, often require more stopping distance and can be harder to maneuver during emergency braking.
Road conditions, lighting, and traffic flow are commonly reviewed after serious roadway cases. Medical evaluations and vehicle damage may also help provide a clearer picture of how the sequence unfolded.
