Campbell County, VA (August 8, 2026) – One person was killed Thursday evening in a multi-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer on US 460. The crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Richmond Hwy and Circle Dr.
According to Virginia State Police, preliminary findings indicate that one person died at the scene. The collision involved multiple vehicles, including a tractor-trailer.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of US 460 were closed for several hours following the wreck. The roadway remained shut down through the night before reopening by early Friday morning.
