Deerfield, WI (July 2, 2026) – One person died, and another was injured on Wednesday, July 1, after a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Deerfield.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 12 at County Highway W. Investigators said each vehicle had one person inside when the collision occurred.
Authorities said one vehicle crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle head-on. One driver was pronounced dead at the site. The other driver was brought to a local hospital. Their condition was not included in the initial report.
The road was closed for about four hours while investigators worked along the highway. The name of the person who died was not released, while family members were notified. The Deerfield crash remains under investigation as officials work to confirm the full sequence.
