Memphis, TN (August 31, 2026) – One man died and three other people were critically injured Friday afternoon, August 28, in a multi-vehicle crash on Winchester Road near Cargo Road in Memphis. The collision happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. near Frederick W. Smith International Airport.
Four people, including two men and two women, were taken to a hospital in critical condition after the crash.
One of the men later died at the hospital. The three other injured people remained hospitalized in critical condition at the time of the report.
Authorities continue investigating the crash. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the man who died, and we hope the three injured people recover fully.
