Delaware County, IA (August 10, 2026) – One person died, and two others were injured on Saturday, August 8, in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 20 near mile marker 286. The crash happened at approximately 2:00 a.m.
A Toyota Prius and a Honda CR-V were stopped on the shoulder when an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox struck both vehicles and the Honda driver.
The 24-year-old Honda driver from Dubuque died from the injuries. The Prius driver, a 20-year-old from Iowa City, was hurt and taken by ambulance to Regional Medical Center.
A 32-year-old Iowa City resident was also injured and transported to the same hospital. The initial report did not provide further medical details.
