North Olmsted, OH (July 30, 2026) – Multiple vehicles were involved in a Thursday morning accident near Stearns Road and Interstate 480. The roadway emergency was reported around 8:10 a.m. on July 30.
A driver was found unconscious and not breathing when emergency units arrived. Lifesaving measures were performed before the motorist was taken to St. John Medical Center.
Police later reported that the patient was stable. The initial report did not identify him or confirm whether anyone else was injured.
The westbound Interstate 480 exit to Stearns Road was closed following the collision. Southbound Stearns Road was also blocked from Lorain Road while crews worked nearby.
Both closures were lifted after the site was cleared around 10:14 a.m.
Investigators continue reviewing what led to the wreck. We hope the hospitalized man and anyone else affected by this crash make a full recovery.
