Katy, TX (July 23, 2026) – One person was hurt after a three-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler along the I-10 Katy Freeway at SH-99 near Katy on Thursday morning.
According to officials, the crash occurred on the eastbound side of I-10 near the Grand Parkway when the 18-wheeler went off the interstate. The collision involved three vehicles, and one person was taken to a hospital. The extent of the person’s injuries was not immediately released.
Traffic was affected after the 18-wheeler left the elevated roadway. Two center lanes, the right lane, and the right shoulder of the eastbound freeway were impacted while crews worked to manage the roadway.
Investigators are continuing to determine what led to the wreck and will release additional details as they become available. We hope the injured person makes a full and speedy recovery.
