Norfolk, VA (August 21, 2026) – One man suffered minor injuries on Wednesday, August 19, after a barge being pushed by a tugboat struck a smaller boat on the Elizabeth River.
Police were called to the waters near the Waterside District around 3:20 p.m. The man aboard the smaller boat returned to shore and received treatment there.
No additional details about the people involved were immediately released. Authorities are still examining the circumstances surrounding the collision.
