Fairfax Co., VA (July 29, 2026) – One person required hospital care after a four-vehicle collision early Tuesday, July 28. The vehicles came together around 5:45 a.m. on northbound Interstate 395 near Edsall Road.
Investigators said two vehicles were stopped in traffic when a third vehicle struck them from behind. The force pushed them into a fourth vehicle, creating a chain reaction.
One person was taken to a hospital with harm described as non-life-threatening. The initial accident report did not identify that person or provide details about the other drivers.
Northbound lanes were temporarily closed near Edsall Road while the roadway was cleared. All lanes have since reopened to traffic.
The cause of the wreck remains under examination. We hope the injured person makes a speedy recovery.
