What Information Is Commonly Reviewed After a Two-Vehicle Collision?
After a two-vehicle collision, investigators typically examine several factors to determine how the roadway encounter occurred. They may review the positions of the vehicles, traffic patterns, roadway conditions, weather, and any available surveillance or dashboard camera footage.
Witness accounts and physical evidence, such as tire marks and vehicle damage, can also help establish the sequence of events. Medical evaluations may provide a better understanding of the injuries involved, while additional documentation collected after the initial response can help complete the overall picture. These findings are usually combined to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
