Verona, MO (July 30, 2026) – One person was injured in a traffic accident on US 60 about one mile east of Verona on Tuesday afternoon, July 28. The collision was reported at approximately 2:03 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2011 Kia Sorento driven by a 60-year-old Aurora man struck the rear of a 2014 Toyota Corolla operated by a 38-year-old Monett woman. Both vehicles were traveling westbound at the time.
The Monett woman sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Mercy Ambulance to Cox Hospital in Monett. The Aurora man was not listed as injured in the initial report. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were removed from the roadway by a towing service.
