St. Louis County, MO (July 30, 2026) – Two people were injured in a traffic accident on westbound I-64 east of US-67 in St. Louis County on Tuesday afternoon, July 28. The collision was reported at approximately 3:00 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 35-year-old St. Louis man driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra came to a stop on the interstate for an unknown reason. A 31-year-old St. Peters woman driving a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze attempted to avoid the stopped vehicle but struck the rear of the Nissan.
The St. Louis man sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. The St. Peters woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the roadway.
The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under investigation as more information becomes available. We wish both injured drivers a full and speedy recovery.
