Arleta, CA (September 11, 2026) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle collision Wednesday, September 9, on the southbound Golden State Freeway (Interstate-5) in Arleta.
The crash occurred around 9:18 p.m. just north of the Hollywood Freeway (I-170), according to a California Highway Patrol spokesperson.
The southbound I-5 lanes were closed, and CHP issued a SigAlert at 10:12 p.m. The alert remained in effect as of 10:40 p.m.
The injured person had not been taken to a hospital as of 10:35 p.m., according to CHP. No further information about the person’s condition or the cause of the collision was immediately available.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
